The Unhoused
The number of people experiencing homelessness has been steadily growing over the past 40 years. Serving this community requires understanding who they are, what they need, and the challenges they face.
MCM currently has two Outreach Teams that go out on Sunday afternoons: An SNU student team visits individuals experiencing homelessness downtown, and the NW team visits those in the area around NW Expressway and Meridian. MCM does more than provide food and essential items; our volunteers treat each person they encounter with respect, dignity and friendship. Building relationships with people, and their pets, goes a long way.
