NW OKC Faith Alliance
In March 2025, Micah Community and Messiah Lutheran Church launched a coalition of faith communities in the NW OKC area to work together with a cohesive strategy to serve our unhoused community. We invite any pastor, associate, leader, or congregant to participate. Together we can make a bigger difference in the lives of those around us.
NW OKC Faith Alliance Mission Statement
The NW OKC Faith Alliance supports the mission and vision of MCM, with a primary focus on developing a resource center for the unhoused in NW OKC.
Alliance Goals
- Education – improve education of pastors and congregations about poverty and homelessness
- Service – encourage cohesive participation of congregations in homelessness services
- Support – raise volunteers, resources, and financial support for the Micah Community Center
Our guiding posture in this important work is presented in Kevin Nye’s book Grace Can Lead Us Home. We encourage any person of faith to read this book: it is wide and deep in its coverage of the complicated issues related to homelessness, and it guides us as faith leaders in how we can make a difference in the lives of those around us.
Additionally, check out our resources page for links to books, podcasts, articles, and videos to learn more about homelessness.

*Micah is faith based: Our faith is what leads us to do this work. As with many of OKC’s homelessness services, observance or participation in a particular faith is not required to join us in these efforts. We welcome community partners and individuals.
